Japanese style Obanyaki confection pan for making sweet bean filled pastries.
This iron pan is 7 inches square and each pastery pan measures 3 inches across.
Obanyaki Recipe included with the Pan:
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. sugar
1-1/2 cups milk
4 Tbsp. melted butter or vegetable oil)
1 cup red bean paste, smooth or chunky
vegetable oil or Pam spray for the pan
1. Mix dry ingredients together and mix wet ingredients together. Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix but donít over mix.
2. Heat your obyanyaki pan on medium heat and lightly oil the cups. Fill all cups about 1/2 full with batter. Add sweetened red bean or other filling to the center of 2 of the cups. When the 2 unfilled cups are set enough to move, place them on top of the 2 filled cups to make a filled obanyaki and finish cooking until lightly browned, sealed and cooked through.
